I had a couple interviews this weekend so I thought I'd share what I wore! I ended up receiving a job offer and accepting so whether it was my charming personality or the outfit is undecided, but I still really liked how the pictures turned out so here we go!

A lot of people say not to wear red lipstick to an interview because then the interviewer will focus on your lip color instead of your personality. However, I feel super confident in a red lip and I also interviewd for a stylist position, where you have a little bit more creativity available to you. I think red lipstick is classic and would work for most interviews, but if you don't feel confident when wearing it, go for something more your speed. You are more convincing when you're confident in how you look and what you're wearing, which is what you want when you are at an interview!
Honestly, what you wear to a job interview depends on the job you're interviewing for. Use common sense when picking out an outfit and wear something that makes you feel confident! If it's a skirt you love for a night out but you know that you constantly tug on it because it rides up, skip it and go for a different item instead!
I wore heels, even though I hardly ever wear heels in the salon. I think they just look nice and they make a good impression. Plus they look super cute with this outfit and make me feel better about my shorter legs!
I added a watch and made sure my nails were painted- you'd be surprised how much cleaner and more professional you will look with nails that are at least neatly filed, cleaned, and trimmed.
The main thing that has helped me in all of my interviews is dressing in what makes me the most confident. Every interview I've had that I felt was bad I didn't look or feel my best. I'm a very nervous person so a lot of the times I have to fake a confident attitude and appearance until it feels natural. The easiest way for me to do that is to dress in a way that makes me feel the best about myself! When you look good, you feel good.
What helps you feel the most confident before an interview?
