Coffee Con 2k15.

I was Chicago bound this past weekend for a convention that sounds crazier than Comic Con. The 2015 Coffee Con was in Chicago this past Saturday and the squad piled in the van and took on the streets of Chicago to seek out the best coffee vendors.

I told you you'd be seeing this top again! I feel like there is this stigma that horizontal stripes are bad, but I've really been digging them this summer. I don't believe there are any "rules" in fashion, and if there are, I consider them guidelines that can easily be adjusted to fit your likes and dislikes. Wear what makes you feel cute, friend.

I guess I should add that I wore a bralette underneath this top- I feel like you can't really see it in the photos but I think a cute lace one or one with straps or cutouts is super cute with tops like these. They are what I gravitate to when I'm not sure if a shirt material is see through or not.

It was soo humid out so I shouldn't have worn jeans. I do sort of regret that but then I look at these pictures and I don't even remember being sweaty and resisting the urge to hop on the CTA to grab a pair of shorts from Forever 21.

I'm not much of a shoe shopper, which is probably surprising because the general stereotype is that every girl loves shoe shopping. I hate shopping for shoes. I hate breaking in a new pair of shoes and I hate the blisters that come with it. I think these shoes are super cute and I loved them. I wanted a shoe without a heel because I knew I was going to be doing a lot of walking (I ended up hitting 20,000 steps before the day was over on my pedometer app so go me!). I did get a small blister on my heel from these, but I also neglected to break them in before going to Coffee Con. I've also had blisters way worse from other shoes, so I consider these a success. I love the color, which is weird because it is not BLACK.

Red lipstick and a simple winged eyeliner looks hella fierce with this outfit. Someone in line told me I gave off a Taylor Swift vibe, so I think that's a compliment. Can I just say the venue for this convention was AH-mazing. I honestly think I'd consider having my wedding reception there if I were to ever get married.

My favorite vendors from the show can be found here:

~love their packaging, their branding, their coffee, their cafe, just everything.

~had the BEST cold brew coffee out of all the ones I tried. I could actually drink it sans creamer, which is a big deal for me.

~I tried one of their coffees hot and really enjoyed it- again, sans cream/sugar.

Would you go to a coffee convention? What's your favorite kind of coffee- any specific method or preparation or type of roast?
