White Dress and a Sunset.

We went out for some lakeside dining during our trip. I love a good excuse to get fancy, and I actually got a little bit of color from being outside so I felt like I could actually wear this white dress. If we're being honest, I probably got more sunburnt than I did tan, but a pale girl can dream.

(How embarassing is that sunburn/tanline?!)

I love this dress because the cut of it reminds me of Marilyn Monroe. I feel like it'd be a really flattering dress on anyone, except that I did have to safety pin the strap around my neck because I'm shorter. Although I can't complain because I got the dress on super clearance and I was worried it would be too small.
These are the same wedges I wore in my last night time outfit post, but can you blame me? I'm obsessed with them. I actually found a picture of a pair of wedges from Michael Kors and these basically look the same- but I like mine way better because they were not 90 dollars and I prefer the texture of the wedge over the MK ones. Call me crazy, but that's just how I roll.
If dressing up stresses you out, I think this really puts into perspective how easy it is to put together something that looks nice but also effortless. This outfit is only made up of three items- a dress, some shoes, and a pair of sunglasses. I'm terrible with remembering to accessorize with jewelry, so I try to aim for outfits that have a unique fabric/cut; and then I make sure to really focus on my hair and makeup.
Do you prefer to make your outfit night time appropriate using accessories, or would you rather rock a makeup look like a perfect smokey eye or contoured cheek?
