I'm back with a sassy date night look!
Not everyone may think of styling a button up shirt with a dress, but it's one of my favorite looks. It has a carefree and effortless vibe perfect for a cool summer night.

There's just something about combining menswear inspired pieces like a button up and large watch with feminine pieces like heels and a mini dress that scream hot to me. It's more of a casual date night look, so if you're going to a five star restaurant I may swap the button up for a blazer, but this totally works for a stroll downtown and a dinner fancier than the typical burger joint.
The dress is a cotton stretchy material and it's easy for it to look too casual, so the wedges really add an edge to the outfit. Plus they make short legs look AWESOME. Take it from a five foot girl who knows. If I don't want to be too fancy, I pick balance my outfit with casual pieces and dressier pieces. It sounds like you'll look like you don't know what you're doing, but you will be surprised how well everything fits together.
A few other things that really add to the look are polished nails- I feel so put together when my toes are done and I'm wearing open toed shoes. Red is a classic color and will go with anything, guranteed. Makeup is another way you can completely transform your look.
Compared to the day time outfit with this shirt, I bronzed up my skin a little bit more (yes, really, I did. I'm just that pale that you may not notice), swapped the coral lip for a nude one, and smoked some liner around my lashline.
What's your favorite summer date night look? Would you ever pair a button up with a dress?
