Casual Friday.

Whether it be a day off from work or you just don't feel like dressing to the nines, there's still a way to look fashionable and comfortable without throwing on your yoga pants.

Not that I have anything against yoga pants, but sometimes you just aren't feeling the sweat pant scene.

(I know, it's hard to believe that actually happens)

The classic casual outfit can best be broken down into jeans and a t-shirt.

side note- I have at least five of this style of shirt in multiple different colors. It's a basic shirt that target continously has and introduces new colors and patterns throughout the year. Great inexpensive staple for your wardrobe.

I distressed this old pair of jeans that are probably a size too big for me now, and cuffed the bottoms for a more "boyfriend jean" appearance. Distressed jeans are so on trend but ridiculously expensive, and they are so easy to make at home. Using an old pair of jeans is less stressful, just in case you don't like the way they turn out. I love to DIY clothes when I can!

Jeans and a t-shirt don't normally sound so fashionable, but my favorite way to style up my outfit is to add red lipstick and some fun sunglasses. Red lipstick is one of those colors that will always look good, no matter what. I chose a glossy balm version instead of my usual matte lipstick because I was just running errands all day.

The great thing about this outfit is it's so easy to wear every day of the week, but consistently change up the color and styles of certain clothing items to dress it up or down. Jeans and a t-shirt is the classic outfit that will never go out of style. Add a blazer and switch out your casual sneakers for some black high heels and you are date night ready. The best type of wardrobe is one made up of pieces that are interchangable. That's why I like those Target tees. The material is perfect and they are so convienently priced that it makes sense to pickup multiple different colors to create multiple different outfits.

What's your favorite way to dress for a casual day of running errands? Do you consider the jeans and t-shrit a wardrobe staple?
