Could also be titled An Introduction to My Graphic Tee Obsession.
You know those graphic tees you find in the department stores or boutiques that you just have to have?
You know the ones. Thin, soft, stretchy material. A clever saying in Helvetica font. Your favorite Marvel superhero or a classic screen printed photo of your favorite celebrity.
You wouldn't think those silly little shirts could be much more than 15 dollars, but I've seen stores charge upwards of 50 dollars for them! So it is only natural that I become obsessed with something so simple yet so darn expensive.
This weekend was a chill out weekend. Jordan and I finished off our coffee shop bucketlist in Grand Rapids and ran around town having a typical Sunday Funday.

I'm defintely a Star Wars fan and I have this totally normal obsession with graphic tees, so I had to have this shirt. It was a little longer/looser than I anticipated, but I was quick to adapt and ended up tucking it into my shorts. I'm having a distressed denim moment and who knows when it will end. I wore a black sports bra underneath but summer is my favorite time to pair a neon sports bra with a white muscle tank- so there's another option for you. Because we were running around all day I threw on some sneakers from Old Navy. If you're doing heavy athletics these shoes are probably not the best, but I really like them for jazzing up workout clothes while I run errands and they work well for walking and light workouts at home.
This graphic tee can easily be dressed up. Unfortunatley at the moment I don't have photographic proof, but I wore this shirt to work with black capri leggings (the shirt is probably about tunic length), a black blazer, and black flats and it was instantly "geek chic". You could swap the sports bra out for a lace bandeau or even a regular tank top and then pair it with jeans and heels or a skirt and strappy sandals for a "girlier" approach.
Simple graphic tees with minimal colors are one of my favorite statement pieces because in a closet full of neutrals you have tons of styling options. What's your favorite way to style a graphic tee? Or better yet, where's your favorite place to buy them on the cheap?! Comment below!
